Water Parks in Celina
School may be back in session, but we all know the Texas summer lasts through September! Water parks can be a little more enjoyable in sub-100s temperatures and with slightly smaller crowds, so late summer can be the perfect time to make a splash.
Thankfully, Celina residents don’t have to search far to find their share of waterslides and wave pools. Consider checking these nearby water parks if you want to have some serious fun in the water!
Hawaiian Falls - Head south on the Dallas Tollway and you’ll find this Hawaiian oasis around a half-hour’s drive from Celina. With everything from thrilling water slides to relaxing pools with massive LED screens, this waterpark has something for everyone. Older kids and adults will have a blast jetting down exhilarating slides like the Pineapple Plunge and Waikiki Wipeout, while the littles will have fun splashing around the Keiki Kove water playground.
The water park also boasts a lazy river and several private cabana rental options that offer waiter service, TVs, and a private refrigerator. With a range of ticket options available, it’s easy to see why this is such a popular water park.
The Cove - Located 16 miles from Celina in Little Elm is The Cove at Lakefront. There’s a lot to love about DFW’s newest waterpark, but one of its biggest pros is that it’s open year-round. The indoor waterpark has many of the offerings that you’d expect from a standard waterpark with slides and pools, but it also offers options that you don’t necessarily find at other waterparks, such as swim lessons for children and water aerobics and lap swimming for adults.
Oh, and for any surfers out there who can’t make it down to the Gulf, The Cove has you covered with its FlowRider surf machine.
Frisco Water Park - Adults can enjoy admission to this waterpark less than a half-hour from Celina for just $13 and admission for children 3 to 17 is just $11 during the summer months. Highlights of the park include a lazy river, the Preston Plunge water slide, the Squirt Station interactive play station with a gushing water tower, and the Fort water playground.
Next to the outdoor waterpark is an indoor aquatic center where adults can swim or take fitness classes and children as young as 2 can begin to learn basic water skills.
As fun as a day at the waterpark can be, not having to jump in the car and hop on the expressway just to cool off is a major perk. Green Meadows residents are fortunate that they can enjoy a resort-style pool and massive water slides right here in their own community.
