HEB Coming To Celina: All You Need To Know

H-E-B has proudly served Texans since 1905 and continues to fit Texas families with everything they need for the Texas lifestyle. Founded in 1905 by Florence Butt, the small grocery was initially named “CC. Butt Grocery Store.” A few years later, her youngest son Howard E. Butt took over and eventually renamed it H-E-B — his initials.
While the state-wide supermarket has a humble history, the Texas grocery chain has grown and remarkably expanded its consumers’ options. Today, H-E-B is known among its fans for its wildly dedicated employees (many have worked there for 30-plus years), top-notch customer service (only at H-E-B will someone hand you a freshly baked tortilla to snack on while you shop), and unique food products (hatch chili cookies!).
Adoring public odes are published about it across the Internet. Long lines form whenever a new location touches down. Let’s not forget that they also made True Texas BBQ available as a drive-thru staple — but we need not tell you that if you’re already from Texas!
A New HEB Branch Soon Opening for Celina Shoppers
As the H-E-B craze spreads in North Texas, so does the need for more outlets. And the city of Celina is the latest North Texas community to land on H-E-B’s shopping list. According to the Dallas Morning News, the San Antonio-based supermarket business recently purchased a prime piece of real estate on Preston Road in Celina. The nearly 15-acre property is on the southeast corner of Preston and the new Outer Loop road.
While there is still no date for construction or opening, the news of H-E-B opening a new branch near Green Meadows is excellent news for families, food lovers, and value shoppers. With everything from fresh produce to home goods, HEB has something for everyone. Residents will surely appreciate having a Texas-renown grocery store close to home.
