Take a Wine Tour in Celina
The day of love is quickly approaching! Whether you plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart or want to round up the girls for a Galentine’s night out, the city of Celina offers wonderful venues for your celebration.
Check out a few of these local wineries and plan a wine tour in Celina for your Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day festivities.
Carmela's Winery
This winery is named for the family's paternal mother, grandmother, and family matriarch who immigrated from Sicily in 1919. Carmela's Winery (132 N. Louisiana Dr., Celina, Texas 75009) boasts having the "best wine club you can't join." This is a good thing because it has no subscription fee.
You can host a "Tap a Bottle Party" for you and 10 to 12 friends. Their tasting menu changes frequently, so be sure to visit the website to find out the latest and learn about hosting a party. The winery is located in downtown Celina and you don't need reservations for tastings. While they're working to launch a menu, you can check out several of their nearby restaurants or order delivery.
Caudalie Crest Winery
Caudalie Crest Winery (2045 Weston Rd. Celina, Texas 75009) has an intriguing origin story. When an opportunity came up, founders Sue and Ray moved to Texas. Then, September 11th happened. This spurred them to think about what was important to them and what they wanted to do with their lives. And that led to opening Caudalie Crest Winery. In the process of building the winery, Sue came across Dwarf Nigerian dairy goats. Now she breeds, raises, and sells goats.
Their tasting room is temporarily closed for remodeling. The good news is they'll be open again in early February. In the meantime, you can get to-go orders or pick up your wine club order.
When they reopen, you'll be able to drink wine while watching the goats and shop for products from other area small businesses that sell relishes, jellies, honey, and handcrafted signs. When you go, you'll be able to follow their entire process from berry to bottle or enjoy live music.
Eden Hill Vineyard
Founded in 2007 by the Hornbaker family, Eden Hill Vineyard (4910 Eden Hill Lane, Celina, Texas 75009) makes wine from 30 acres of vineyards across North Texas and the Texas High Plains.
They have a tasting room, which requires reservations. If you want to wine and dine in their cellar bar and patios, then you won't need reservations. They offer many options that allow you to choose your own experience.
If you like to go to the Dallas Farmers Market in downtown Dallas, they also have a presence there. For upcoming events and concerts, visit their website.
Valley Vines
This wine room is run by two families on a mission to pair great wine with Texas hospitality. Valley Vines (222 W. Walnut Street Suite 100 Celina, Texas 75009) has a rich tasting menu with wines from California and Washington. They feature live music every week to entertain you while you sip. To find out who will be playing, check the events calendar.
We hope you find an opportunity to visit these wonderful Celina wineries for Valentine's, Galentine's, or any day when you want to have a memorable time.
